How many times in our life do we ask ourselves ” Is this the one?”
Countless times…
Relationships are one tricky affair, it involves so many unwritten, unsaid, unheard and mostly creepy rules. Once you start dating a person you learn to be psychic & thick skinned, both good skills as one helps you earn the pocket money you will spend on your partner while the other might save you in general from the wrath of the opposite sex
. But having a relationship is much more difficult than running a company so there are bound to be many nuclear, biochemical, chemical wars and usually one has to be the bomb while the other simply shuts up and becomes the wasteland. Funny enough, being human we tend to get easily influenced by whatever crap we see, hear, smell, taste and feel. Our mothers, sisters, brothers, friends, random relatives AND TELEVISION. Have you ever noticed how you start doubting your relationship when Rachel Green is doubting her love for Ross Gellar but feel brave & confident when you see Richard Gere hook up with Julia Roberts.
Now we all know maintaining a relationship is as good as signing yourself for lifetime serf hood with the exception of some goodies & trinkets as incentive
But we forget the manhunt involved before we get the guy/gal. Sometimes we are lucky enough to find a partner & click but there are times we find our prey but have to use the greatest of tactics to lure him. We also have the greatest of all situations, when we go into the jungle searching for our prey. Now let’s face it, being human entitles us to 2 very HUMAN qualities a bloated ego & heavenly expectations. We usually have a nice image of ourselves in OUR head and none other and that image holds a 50 mile long scroll filled with OUR expectations.
So when we head out into the jungle with our huge heads (ego) & huge hips (expectations) in search of a sleek muscled Tiger with the sexiest of walk but we instead find a red butt baboon eating the bugs off it’s OWN body. You shriek and start chasing the Tiger who in return chases a baboon and the baboon chases another Tiger/baboon…… Or sometimes a cockroach. Do you not hate love triangles??
But then again, relationships have their perks… The glow, the unexplainable happiness, the motherly attitude & the fun… So enjoy love & relationships, have a chill pill. If you get stuck in love triangles, enjoy it if you know the other person deserves your love whether they date you or not.
Cheerio!!
