I am a fan of tennis but unfortunately I was unable to watch the actual matches so was entirely dependant on the media for news. And as per the media it seemed to be a tournament worth watching. I did not expect anyone but Federer to reach the finals but was surprised that history was repeating itself in both the men’s and women’s tournament. The finals had the Williams’ sisters against each other while Federer will go against Roddick.
I was without a doubt praying for Serena’s success though I love her sister’s game too. And Serena won the game hands down. I admire her(Serena) power and stamina but at the same time cannot help admire Venus’s technique and determination. Many expected a sort of sibling rivalry but none of that happened and I am not too surprised because of these women have played against each other before and have the maturity to understand/play the game. Supporting my favorite player is a bit difficult as I like both players, Federer always shows that he is not just an idol with his ace game but Roddick has his killer serves. I am hoping that he will be aggressive in this game, make Federer sprint about a bit (who wouldn’t want to see Federer run?)
My prediction for the game? I am guessing that Roddick is gonna make Federer hop around a bit getting a lead on him. And once Federer understands his opponents game play is going to try to take an advantage. Whom I want to see win the tournament? Both are excellent players so I hope the one with the best game wins…
